The Girl Who Walked for Water, The Leader Who Brings It Home
When Carmen Orellana was a little girl, she walked steep trails in La Tigra, Honduras, balancing an empty clay jar on her head, hoping the stream would still be running when she arrived to collect water.
Today, she walks those same paths, but she doesn’t carry water. She helps make it flow, leading her community’s Water Committee, keeping taps open for more than 65 homes, and organizing community-wide reforestation efforts.
This is what Everyone Forever looks like: communities with ownership, protecting the source, and investing in the next generation, including a new faucet and dignified bathrooms at the local preschool funded through water tariff savings.
Your generosity makes this possible. Your support helps women like Carmen guide their communities toward safe water that lasts.
